About the Author — Robert Muir

The expert analysis on this site is written by Robert Muir, a specialist in casino mathematics and slot game design systems. His technical background allows him to evaluate casino games and operators with a level of depth that goes far beyond typical affiliate reviews.

Who Is Robert Muir?

Robert Muir is the founder and director of Game Design Automation and the creator of Slot Designer, a specialist software platform for casino-slot mathematics. The 2025 generation of Slot Designer supports mathematical design for conventional slots as well as complex metamorphic and persistent-state games.

His public work focuses on automating model construction, analysis and validation so game designers can handle advanced slot mechanics with greater speed and consistency. He also publishes educational video content through the Slot Designer YouTube channel.

His Approach to Casino Reviews

Robert approaches casino reviews the same way he approaches slot mathematics — systematically and without assumption. His reviews examine:

  • The mathematical integrity of game catalogues (RTP, variance, hit frequency)
  • Licensing and regulatory accountability
  • Withdrawal processing reliability and transparency
  • Bonus term structure and wagering obligations
  • Technical infrastructure and security practices

This framework produces reviews that are useful to both casual players who want a simple yes/no verdict and to experienced players who want to understand exactly what they're getting into.

Background and Expertise

With deep expertise in slot mathematics, Robert understands how modern casino games are designed, how RTP is calculated and certified, and how operators can manipulate game availability and bonus structures to their advantage. This knowledge informs every review he writes — making the assessments on this site particularly valuable for players who care about fairness and mathematical integrity.
